Here's To New Beginnings. 2013 Please Be Good To Me.

. 1 . 2 . 3 . 4 . 5 . 6 .
I have a sweet treat for you!
Ashley from the The Sweet Ashley Life has a few tips to make 2013 the best year yet!
+Find an awesome outfit to rock on NYE.
This doesn't mean you have to wear a gown and have your hair did. It means finding an awesome outfit to wear either at home or out with your friends. Once you lock down the outfit and feel like your best, you'll have a great time no matter what.
+Skip the silly resolutions.
Don't kill yourself over losing 10 pounds or swearing off sweets. Just start the year fresh and alter your attitude to live a better life for the whole year. Yes, having long term goals like saving for a house or finally getting a new car are totally acceptable. BUT you know how you make those silly resolutions that end up being forgotten within a week or two? In my mind those are about as useful as those $5 dirty santa gifts you end up with. Nobody really needs them, so just skip them this year.

+Do things that push your limits.
Personally, the things that are the hardest to do in life are usually always the most rewarding. I know that life is scary at times, but if you have just a little bit of courage you can achieve SO MUCH.

+Travel!
If you're anything like Kym or I, you have friends and family (and even significant others) that live away from you. Make a plan to go see them! Go see friends, go new places with friends, or just GO. Planning trips out ahead of time makes it so much easier for us to stick with the plan, but spontaneous trips are tons of fun too. Taking a trip gets you out of your regular routine and is a wonderful way to make memories!

+Have parties.
Yes, the boy and I are out of college and have real jobs, but that doesn't stop us from having parties with our friends. Sometimes they are even themed parties. Hello Halloween costume party and ice cream party girl nights. We even make an event out of getting people together for The Walking Dead on Sunday nights. It's so much fun to let loose with your friends, and again, it's an awesome way to make memories! Do you see a trend here?

+Lastly, make sure you're doing what makes you happy.
Whether it's your job, your workout plan, or your favorite hobbies. Make sure you're making an effort to have fun and enjoy your life. Although we are looking forward to next year, remember that this life is the only one you get---make it count!

What are you going to do to make 2013 the best year yet?
I'm sending good vibes your way for 2013!

"Before we pop the champagne and celebrate the New Year, stop and reflect on the year that has gone by. Remember both our triumphs and our missteps, our promises made and broken. The times we opened ourselves up to great adventures or closed ourself down for fear of getting hurt. Cause that's what New Year's is all about, getting another chance. The chance to forgive, to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more. And to stop worrying about 'what if' and start embracing what will be. So when that ball drops at midnight, and it will drop, let's remember to be nice to each other, kind to each other. And not just tonight, but all year long ... Sometimes it feels like there are so many things we can't control, earthquakes, floods, reality shows. But it's important to remember the things we can, like forgiveness, second chances, fresh starts. Because the one thing that turns the world from a lonely place to a beautiful place, is love. Love in any of its forms. Love gives us hope, hope for the New Year. That's New Year's Eve to me. Hope, and a great party."
