Life Lately According To My iPhone

one. I set up a little hot chocolate bar in our kitchen. I'll be picking up a bottle of Bailey's soon, too. It's supposed to be 60 here in Denver today, but plummeting down to THIRTEEN on Wednesday, so this baby will be put to good use in the days to come!

two. Look at that smile.

three. I promised TJ I wouldn't buy any crafts or things that couldn't come home with us at the end of the year (I have a tendency of getting lost in Michael's for hours. whoops) ... so decorating for Christmas has been an interesting task. Our apartment isn't that big, so wrapping pictures like presents will likely be the extent of my Christmas crafts this year!

four. I started my new KBMFC plan. If you're looking for a virtual asskicking, contact Katie. I'm always full and satisfied when I follow her plans, and I'm already down four pounds since Thursday (yes, I know it's just water weight. Hush your mush.)

five. Another meal from my KBFMC plan. ALSO: I created a DietBet Challenge and I'd love for you to join! The more the merrier! It will start on January 2nd (because let's get real, after a night of partying on New Years Eve, the last thing you want to eat on January 1st is a salad - you want a greasy cheeseburger and Chinese food - am I right or am I right?!) and how it works is: You will bet $25 to join the "game" - the challenge will run from January 2nd to January 29th, and everyone who loses at least 4% of their weight during those four weeks will split the pot of money. Sounds cool, right? You can sign up for the challenge here, and I've also created a Facebook Group where we can all motivate one another and share recipes and workout tips. After you sign up for the DietBet Challenge, make sure you join The Bod Squad on Facebook by clicking here!

six. This puppy (no, not Brutus) was a hit on Instagram. Super easy - all I did was slice the tops off of four green apples, and then I carefully scraped the insides out with an ice cream scoop. In a small bowl I combined the tops of the apples (peeled and sliced), 1/4 cup oats, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, and two tablespoons of melted butter, and then I stuffed each apple with the mixture. I used a Pillsbury pie crust for the top, put them in a baking dish with just a little bit of water, covered them and baked them at 350 for 25 minutes. I then took the cover off and baked for an additional 25 minutes. Puuuuurfection.

seven. Meet Stanley.

eight. I finally did it. I FINALLY made an Advent Calendar. Each little paper baggy is filled with a few chocolates and a notecard for Teej, and at the end of the month he will have 25 reasons why I love him (which he can reference to in the future when I'm driving him batshit crazy.)

nine. Movember is over and I can finally say bye-bye to facial hair until the playoff beard returns. Thank you to everyone who donated to TJ's MoSpace. We were blown away by the generosity of so many people, and we will be forever grateful for your giving hearts and support!

xo,
Kym

  6. I have the same issue with decorating. We live in a condo so I can't do too much but I always put a wreath up, a tree then I do something to the table. It works for now!

I was so happy to say goodbye to No Shave November - my bf gave in early because, turns out, he can't grow proper facial hair and was looking like Justin Beiber trying to grow a boy-man mustache! HAHAHA ;)

  13. I hope you didn't get too much snow today -- we live in Loveland, and I think we ended up with 7 inches or so. A hot chocolate bar is perfect for this type of weather!
