20 (More) Things You Should Know About Me

For someone who sits and talks about herself here 99% of the time, I find a fun challenge in coming up with a list of things that I have never shared here before. Well, don't quote me on that ... I talk/type a whole lot...

See version 1.0 of 20 Things You Should Know About Me by clicking here, and read the next 20 down below:

    1. L O L I'm soooo glad I'm not alone either ;) I often find myself Googling old murder mysteries ... and the psychology behind the way a serial killers mind ticks honestly fascinates me. Hope that doesn't make me sound like too much of a weirdo lol.

  4. I brush my teeth in the shower too. In fact, I often shower at night JUST because I like brushing my teeth in the shower.

  6. Fun! You are the first person I know who has broken a cheek bone. That sounds terrible and painful by the way. Sorry that happened to you. And I love the Charlie and Chocolate Factory movie too, the first own of course!

    1. Mine wasn't fixed. Reconstructive surgery would have been "the fix" had it been a huge break ...however mine is just a little knick on the apple of my cheek, so I didn't go through with anything. I probably should have back then though because I'm super uncomfortable with my smile now :(

  13. I think it's awesome that your high school offered a Psychology of Serial Killers course! I am fascinated by psychopathology, too, and sometimes I feel like that makes me creepy, haha. One of my favorite shows is Criminal Minds, and my husband seriously questions WHY anyone would want to watch something like that. This is a neat post topic... I may have to steal it someday!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Haha...and to think I went to a CATHOLIC high school?! Hahaha you're not creepy, but I totally understand that feeling. I can literally get lost for hours Googling things when a crime show is on TV. TJ and I are OBSESSED with Criminal Minds ... actually, most of the shows that we binge on on Netflix have to do with killers or murders or crime. What does that say about us lol??

    1. I'd ask if your job is hiring, however I work from home so I can work from be in my undies if I want ... I don't think I'll be giving up my gig anytime soon lol. And same here about the killers. In class we studied brain patterns and all that jazz ... it's sooo crazy, and I'm very interested in learning about what makes people "tick"!

  16. I totally brush my teeth in the shower too. I don't know why, I just prefer it that way. I'm getting the rest of me clean, why not the teeth too? And I'm self conscious about my smile too. I have one tooth that isn't quite in line with the rest so I always avoid taking pictures on that side of my face!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Haha my thoughts exactly, Jamie! I just prefer to come out clean all over. I'm sure you're the only one who notices your tooth, just like I'm the only one who notices my uneven cheek (though I'm pretty sure TJ is just lying to me lol) I hope you're having a great day Jamie! xo

I also would be found in a tshirt and sweatpants or Nike shorts at my house too. The first thing I do when I get home is de-pants myself.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I know! I don't know why they even decided to make a second one - the original is simply untouchable! Hahahaha "de-pants myself", that's too funny and now I'm going to think about you ever time I whip my pants off. Awwwwkward ;)

  19. so does that mean you love shows like criminal minds then or do they not do it for you now that you have taken the class?!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I LOVE Criminal Minds!! The only shows that TJ and I really watch on Netflix are related to crime, murder and killers lol. What does that say about us? Our class studied heavily on brain development and brain patterns .. I don't know if you're really into that kind of thing ... it is pretty weird! but it's also super fascinating!

  20. Haha love this. My handwriting is horrible, and I'm assuming some of it has to do with the fact that all I do is type all day long.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, yes, let's blame it on that! It's pretty sad that handwriting is sort of a "thing" of the past, isn't it?!

  21. I happen to like your handwriting. It has an innocence quality to it. Big letters=big emotions. It's ok you own that one <3. As for your smile I bet it is still piercing, cheekbone break or no. So flash them pearlies like no one knows. Also you do know you have a Je ne sais quoi about you, right? It is that magical quality no one can ever quite get a finger on. It's what makes you sparkle. Or as I like to say it's what makes a soul glow.

  50. I am obsessed with forensics - I think they're absolutely fascinating; I love to watch "Forensic Files" for factual cases; and "Bones" for the fictional ones. Kathy Reichs (who writes the Tempe Brennan books) is one of my favorite authors, and she's a board certified forensic anthropologist. In the show, Temperance Brennan (nothing like the book character!), writes books about Kathy Reichs.

I didn't break just my cheekbone, I suffered a Y shaped fracture of the orbital socket, that includes the cheekbone... How? Playing with my dog. I threw the ball, it took a weird bounce and landed on a chair; as I was leaning down to get it, she was jumping up to get it and we smacked heads. I split my lip, fractured my orbital socket, suffered a concussion, and got a bloody nose. I was taken, bloody and bruised, to the hospital by my pregnant friend. We walked into the ER, and the staff gave us directions to labor and delivery. I'm 6' and my friend is 5'2" - and she was 7 months pregnant with twins! at the time; she looked at them and said "Do you not see the GINORMOUS bloody person standing next to me?!?"
That was the 2nd of 4 concussions my dog gave me in a 9 week period; I had to miss being a bridesmaid in my BFFs wedding because the doctor didn't want me to fly to TX (that was concussion 3 of 4).
Did I mention that the dog was a rescue, in training to be my therapy dog? You know, the kind of dog that HELPS you?!? LOL

I guess I'm lucky I didn't break my orbital!! YIKES!
